Benefits of eating dark chocolates

Kathmandu: Chocolate that contains 50-90% cocoa solids, cocoa butter, and sugar count as dark chocolates. Taste varies from individual to individual. Some like milk chocolates whereas some like dark one. There are various benefits of eating dark chocolates besides from its disadvantages.

The first thing is dark chocolate is very nutritious. It is a powerful source of antioxidants. The bioactive compounds in dark chocolate may also be great for your skin. The flavanols can protect against sun damage, improve blood flow to the skin, and increase skin density and hydration. Dark chocolate lowers blood pressure and can boost your focus as well.

It also helps to lose weight. Dark chocolates should be eaten on an empty stomach or 30 minutes after a solid-food meal. They can also be eaten as a snack between lunch and dinner.

The recommended “dose” for dark chocolate is approximately 1 to 2 ounces or 30-60g/day.
