RPP Chair Lingden inaugurates 15-bed hospital

Baniyani: Chairperson of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), Rajendra Lingden, inaugurated a 15-bed ‘Haldibari Basic Hospital’ constructed at Haldibari in Jhapa district on Friday.

Health Section Chief of Haldibari Rural Municipality, Pushkar Niraula, said the hospital, constructed in the premises of Haldibari Rural Municipality, would provide 15 types of services along with OPD service.

Health insurance programme, emergency service, lab, pharmacy, safe motherhood, and family planning are other services the hospital provides. Chairperson of the rural municipality, Rabindra Lingden, said the hospital was brought into operation to end the compulsion of Haldibari folks of visiting hospitals out of their rural municipality even for a minor health service as well as to bring all the people of the rural municipality to the access of health service.

The health facility has nine human resources including a medical officer. Three health posts and two basic health service centres are in operation in Haldibari Rural Municipality.
