One killed in quake in Baitadi

Baitadi: A person died in earthquake occurred in Baitadi district on Saturday night.
The deceased has been identified as Hari Luhar, 66, of Seltada of Dilashaini Rural Municpality-1 in the district, according to the Dilashaini Rural Municipality. Municipality Chairperson Santosh Prakash Joshi shared that the elderly who was indoor died while running away from his house as the quake jolted the district.
The local administration provided Rs 20,000 financial support for performing final rites of Lunar. Luhar came from a very impoverished family.
An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter Scale hit Bajhang and Baitadi district at 8:12 pm on Saturday night. The epicenter of the quake was Pataldebal of Bajhang.
