DSP Soti said efforts are on for relocating the people of settlements near the Sarrekhola rivulet and surrounding areas at Lahan -24 to safe locations in view of the high risk of flooding in these settlements.

People of Jhutki, Khesraha, Dandatol, Sundarpur, Ranha among others are facing inconvenience for lack of a bridge over the rivulet in the area. Movement of people is greatly hampered whenever the rivulet is flooded.
