Allowance for single men in Madi

Kaski: Madi rural municipality of Kaski is to give monthly allowance to the single men of the municipality. Social security allowance will be given to destitute single men aged 60 to 68 years, according to the policy and program of the municipality for the next fiscal year.

Rural Municipality Chair Debjung Gurung said that a procedure will be develop and implemented to provide monthly allowance for the social security of poor widowers.

Likewise, the municipality is going to give subsidy to the farmers who rear bulls. Subsidy on milk and eggs will be given under the program ‘Village with Farmers’.

This includes support to vegetable production, fruit production, indigenous crop protection and production and beekeeping pocket areas. Provision of agriculture ambulance and branding of local agricultural products.

Likewise, the policy program mentions that the trekking route leading to Sikles-Kori-Manang will be developed as a peace path. In cooperation with the federal and province governments, the construction of municipal level playgrounds, organizing the President’s Cup sports program and the establishment of Madi Pragya Pratishthan are included in the policy program.

Gurung said that by establishing a land bank barren land will be leased out by the rural municipality and the real farmers will be provided with land and investment will be concentrated in the productive sector.
