Sudurpaschim: Chairman of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), Rajendra Lingden, has said it is time to prioritize good governance and development.

Addressing a gathering of province level cadres of the party in Dhangadhi on Monday, Chairman Lingden argued that his party had done some positive works despite short stay in government. He underscored, “Unless corruption is ended, environment for youths to work within country will not be created.”

Chairman Lingden, also the former Deputy Prime Minister, viewed country had been a playground for frequent tests, which must be ended with unity among all sides. He directed the party leaders and cadres to reach the party views at lower levels.

On the occasion, senior Vice Chairman Rabindra Mishra argued unless the RPP’s agenda was established in the country, stability would be elusive. Only emergence of new parties would not ensure stability, he added.

Party spokesperson and lawmaker Gyanendra Shahi asserted that joining government by his party during alliance was not a mistake. However, alliance culture obstructed party from achieving objectives. The province level gathering is scheduled to discuss party’s fundamental policy, principles, contemporary politics and future strategy.
