Beni: The Mahadev Secondary School building located in Raghuganga Rural Municipality-1 of Myagdi has been reconstructed. The school building had become dilapidated following the 2015 earthquake.

The new building was built at the cost of Rs. 1.5 million collected under the initiative of Begkhola Welfare Society. The Society is an association of people from Begkhola currently in different parts of the country as well as across the globe.

In the school, the family of three brothers of Indra Bahadur, Padam Bahadur and Yamkumar Purja have built a separate additional room for the computer class with an investment of Rs.1.4 million.

Nagendra Purja (Nakku), secretary of the reconstruction campaign, shared that the generous support of the donors helped rebuild the school with modern amenities. In addition to the seven-room classroom building built by the residents of Begkhola by collecting donations, a three-room building with an investment of Rs 3.4 million and a four-room building with an investment of Rs. 6 million have been built with the support of National Reconstruction Authority (NRA), said Duta Bahadur Garbuja, the principal of the school.

The people of Begkhola, who have reached different places inside and outside the country for employment, profession, business and study, are bringing in support for the development of education, and other infrastructure of their place of origin.
