UML pulls out of Madhesh Province government

Janakpurdham: The CPN (UML) has quit the Madhesh Province Government with a change in the political equation in the federal politics. The UML ministers resigned en-masse today and it was endorsed by Chief Minister Saroj Kumar Yadav. The UML had four ministers and one minister of state in the provincial government.

Talking to media at the Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers, the Chief Minister said the UML ministers left the government with the change in the central politics. They resigned on the basis of a moral ground, according to him.

As Yadav, the UML had consulted with him regarding their participation right after the changed in the central political equation and he had requested them to wait for sometimes. The process ahead will go as per the consensus among parties in the ruling alliance.

He hinted the possibility of the government expansion in participations of the Nepali Congress, CPN (Unified Socialist), Democratic Socialist Party including others after the House of Representatives by-election in Bara-2 on coming April 23.
