Panthi and Gaire honoured with Dhawal Award
Palpa: The Dhawal Sadhana Award presented by Dhawal Library Tansen, Palpa has been presented this year to senior writer Shashi Panthi and the Dhawal Creative Award to Dr Shankar Prasad Gaire, author of Krishna novel. The awards carry a purse of Rs 25,000 along with a certificate.
Member of Parliament Thakur Prasad Gaire, Chairperson of the library Yubaraj Paudel, General Secretary Rajesh Kumar Aryal and others jointly presented the award to the winners at a program held on Saturday.
On this occasion, Buddhi Prasad Sharma and Dwarika Prasad Sharma were honored with certificates and medals for their contribution to the development of the library. Speaking on occasion MP Gaire emphasized that Dhawal Library, which is the oldest library in Nepal, should be modernized and made fully digital. The library has been giving away the awards from the year 2077 B.S.
