Kathmandu: The ruling CPN (Maoist Centre) has decided to mobilize all its leaders and cadres for the development of party organization for coming two months.

A standing committee (SC) meeting of the party held at party headquarters in Paris Danda on Saturday took a decision to summon meetings of party’s all organizations, sister organizations and wings.

Besides these, the meetings of party’s province-level committees, district coordination committees and local-level committees would also be organized, CPN (Maoist Centre) Spokesperson Krishna Bahadur Mahara told the media.

Today’s meeting decided to review the reported incidents of betrayal from within the party leaders to the party’s official candidates in the elections to the House of Representatives and province assembly taken place on November 20, 2022.

Spokesperson Mahara said the central committee meeting of the party would be organized after two months following an assessment of the party’s overall situation.

Likewise, talking to the media after the SC meeting, party leader Devendra Poudel said that the President should be elected on broad consensus including that of the CPN (UML).

Poudel shared the Maoist Centre is considering to address the country’s key issues on the basis of consensus. Poudel was of the view that no party should get into trouble from the national consensus debate.

Likewise, Mahara said that the directives given by party Chairman and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ after his election to the PM would be sent to the party committees to make the government’s performance further effective.
