Local level distributes social security allowance at beneficiaries‘ doorsteps
Tanahun: The Anbukhaireni Rural Municipality in Tanahun district has been distributing the social security allowance to the senior citizens and physically challenged people by visiting them at their doorsteps.
Chairman of Anbukhaireni Rural Municipality Shukra Chuman said that the beneficiaries received their social security allowance at their doorsteps in the first quarter of the current fiscal year and preparations are ongoing to provide the amount of the second quarter as well.
Chairman Chuman shared that the move was taken as part of his commitment made during the election campaigns. With the decision of the local government, the beneficiaries now should not have to queue up in the banks.
The rural municipality has signed MoU with four commercial banks to dole out the social security allowance.
