PM Dahal attends India’s 75th Independence Day function

Kathmandu: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ attended a music programme organized as part of ‘Ajadka Amrit Mahotsav’ on the occasion of 75th Independence Day of India on Friday.

Also present at the programme with performance by ‘Kutumba Band’ were CPN UML Chairman and former prime minister, KP Sharma Oli; CPN (US) Chairman and former prime minister, Madhav Kumar Nepal; Nepal Socialist Party Chairman and former prime minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai.

Moreover, Foreign Minister Bimala Rai Paudyal, former minister Hishila Yami; lawmakers, officials from diplomatic missions, senior government officials, and the Indian nationals in Nepal were also present on the occasion.

Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Naveen Shreevastav, said the music programme was organized reflecting the shared cultures of Nepal and India.
