Leela Giri submitted claim for the chief ministership of Lumbini state

Kathmandu: Leela Giri has submitted a claim for the Chief Minister of Lumbini Province.

CPN-UML’s Giri submitted the claim to the state chief Amik Sherchan. Giri submitted the claim with the signatures of 58 provincial assembly members.

Giri has the support of 58 MPs including 29 from CPN-UML, 10 from CPN-Maoist Center,
4 from Rashtriya Prajatantra Party, 4 from Civil Liberties Party, 3 from from Janata Samajwadi Party, 3 from Janamat Party, 3 from Democratic Samajwadi Party and 2 independents.

The support of 44 MPs is required to form the government in the 87-member provincial assembly.
