Nepal: Prime Minister’s instructions to the commission to start the election process for President and Vice President

Kathmandu: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has instructed the Election Commission to proceed with the election process of President and Vice President.

On Monday, Prime Minister Prachanda, while discussing with the officials of the Commission at Singha Darbar, instructed to start the necessary process for the election of the President, Vice President and members of the National Assembly as per the provisions of the constitution and law.

The Prime Minister has said that the political parties will discuss the election of the President and Vice President and come to a conclusion.

During the discussion, Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Ravi Lamichhane thanked the Prime Minister for the effective completion of the local level elections, the election of provincial assembly members and the election of members of the House of Representatives.

He said that the date of the election will be discussed later.In the meeting, Chief Commissioner of the Commission Dinesh Kumar Thapalia and other commissioners informed about the functioning of the Election Commission and the election process.
