Philippines logs 591 new COVID-19 cases, 26 more deaths

Kathmandu: The Philippines reported 591 new COVID-19 infections on Saturday, pushing the number of confirmed cases in the Southeast Asian country to 4,064,443.

The Department of Health said the number of active cases dropped to 13,497, while 26 more patients died from COVID-19 complications, pushing the country’s death toll to 65,385.

Metro Manila, the capital region with over 13 million people, tallied 207 new cases.
