The School Principal got arrested on charges of student kidnapping and murder

Kathmandu: Parsa police have arrested two persons including the principal of Gurukul Panna Memorial English Boarding School in Birganj on the charge of kidnapping and murdering a student studying in grade VIII of same school.

Police have arrested 30-year-old Dilip Kumar Patel, a resident of Dhovani Rural Municipality-1 Ghodaur Pipra, Parsa, and his associate Shyam Prasad Patel alias Krishna Bharen, 24, a resident of Birgunj-17 Alau, on the charge of abducting and murdering a 14-year-old Neeraj Kumar Dusad, who was studying in a school run by Birgunj Metropolitan City-25 Khalwatola Sirsia.

Arrested Mr.Patel and Yadav were released on Wednesday by the police holding a press conference. Superintendent of Police Komal Shah, informed the accused in the district police office that Patel and Yadav had abducted the child and killed him on November 5 with the intention of taking Rs 50 lakh ransom from Neeraj’s father, Shriram Hazar Dusad. He said that after 12 days of the kidnapping, that is, on 17th of November, Yadav called Neeraj’s father from his mobile phone and demanded a ransom of Rs.50 lakhs.

While checking the number, Yadav and Patel, the main planner of the incident, were arrested based on the information given by him.After arresting Patel and Yadav, Superintendent Shah informed that Neeraj’s body was recovered from the toilet tank on the night of January 10th, based on the information given by Patel while interrogating them.

He said that the financial condition of Patel and Yadav was getting worse and the investigation revealed that Neeraj’s father, Dusad, had abducted and killed the child after getting information that he would get millions of dollars as compensation for the land from the Nepal government.

Patel said Neeraj started crying when they tried to keep him hostage, and  he died when they strangled him to calm him down.

Superintendent Shah informed that the child’s dead body has been handed over to the parents after the post-mortem, while the search is on for one more accused involved in the incident. He said that they are preparing to prosecute both the arrested accused for body hostage and duty killing.
