Education contributes to personal development: President Bhandari
Kathmandu: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has said education contributes to personal development of every citizen.
President Bhandari opined that education has significant role to make human beings good, capable, proficient and competitive.
At a golden jubilee ceremony of Bansbari Secondary School at Kathmandu Metropolitan City-4 on Tuesday, she expressed the belief that the school would gain further success in enhancing educational quality in coming days.
The President shared, “I want to appreciate the contributions of this school in producing educational human resources for the country. Education is the main foundation for overall development of the country. So our educational programmes should be focused towards producing capable human resources in order to promote entrepreneurship based on natural resources and cultural heritages in the country.”
Similarly, Nepali Congress leader and newly-elected member to the House of Representatives from Kathmandu-5, Pradeep Poudel, said, “The State should take proactive measures in fulfilling responsibility for serving education. It should be put on utmost priority”.
