CPN (Maoist Centre) nominates 14 HoR members under PR

Kathmandu: The CPN (Maoist Centre) finalized the names of 14 candidates for the member of House of Representatives (HoR) under the proportional representation (PR) system.

The CPN (Maoist Centre) on Saturday submitted the final namelist of the HoR members elected under the PR system at the Election Commission.

The HoR members under the PR system include Durga Rai, Mina Tamang, Urmila Majhi Poudel, Tshiring Lyamu Lama Tamang, Hitraj Pandey, Gyanu Basnet Subedi, Bimala Subedi, Narayani Sharma, Rupa Sosi Chaudhary, Ranendra Barayili, Sushila Shreepali Thakuri, Mina Yadav, Umarawati Devi Yadav and Kalpana Miya.

A meeting of the Maoist Centre’s office-bearers held today finalized the names to submit at the EC.

In the November 20 elections to the HoR, the Maoist Centre won 18 seats under the first-past-the-post electoral system and 14 seats under the PR system.
