COVID-19 update: 51 new cases, 100 recoveries in the past 24 hours

Kathmandu: The country has recorded 51 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours. Such numbers of COVID-19 came to light while conducting 3,024 tests during the same period.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 100 people were recovered from the flu-like infection in the last 24 hours. With this, the number of recovered ones has reached 986,335 so far.
The recovery rate is 98.7 per cent at present. There are 1,223 active cases of COVID-19 now. Of them, 1,174 people are in home isolation, 49 in institutional isolation and 11 in ICU.

None of the districts has over 500 cases of COVID-19 at the moment while Kathmandu has over 200 active cases. Districts having no COVID-19 cases are Taplejung, Ramechhap, Sindhuli, Manang, Mustang, Myagdi, Dolpa, Humla, Kalikot, Rukum (Paschim), Jajarkot, Dailekh, Mugu and Darchula, according to the Ministry.

Likewise, no fatality from COVID-19 was reported in the past 24 hours. The death toll from COVID-19 so far stands at 12,017.
