324 persons test positive for COVID-19, one dies in Nepal

Kathmandu : The coronavirus has been detected among 324 persons, while a person died of the COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.

A total of 3,515 persons had undergone the test for the coronavirus in the same period, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.

Similarly, 418 persons got rid of coronavirus in the 24 hours, while number of those receiving anti-COVID vaccine in this period stands at 15,934. The recovery rate at present is 98.4 percent, the Ministry added.

The number of active cases of coronavirus is 3,943 now. So far, the number of persons succumbing to the virus has reached 11,999.

There are 3,766 infected ones receiving treatment at home isolations, 177 at institutional isolations, 50 at ICU and one on ventilator support.

The districts having more than 500 active cases of coronavirus are Kathmandu and Lalitpur. Similarly, those having zero cases of coronavirus are Manang, Mustang, Kalikot, Humla, Dolpa, Mugu and Jajarkot.

The Ministry has further said the infection rate at present is 16.9 percent.
